The solution of two dimensional heat equation with nonlocal boundary condition
(University of Management and Technology, 2016) Muhammad Aziz
In this thesis our goal is to develop a third-order parallel splitting algorithm for solving linear partial di erential equation in two dimensions with non local boundary condition. In this method third-order approximations are used to approximate spatial derivative and Simpson's 1=3 rule is used to approximate the non local boundary condition. Using this Parallel algorithm the results of numerical experiments are examined, presented and compared with the exact solution, as well as with the results already existed in the literature and found to be highly accurate.

Applications of fuzzy soft set theory in multi-criteria decision making problems by multi-decision makers
(UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, 2016) Dayan, Fazal
In our real life, many problems in economics, engineering, medical, social and management sciences etc. involve imprecise data. The solution of these problems involves the use of mathematical principles based on imprecision and uncertainty. A number of theories have been developed to deal with such type of problems.

General solutions for unsteady free convective flow for brinkman type fluid
(University of Management and Technology, 2015) Maryam Aleem
The main aspire of this desertion is to represent generalized solutions for Brinkman type non-Newtonian fluids in which we will reckon time dependent velocity along the boundary. In chapter 1, a few cardinal concepts concerning the rates of flows, dissimilar types of fluids, a couple of constitutive equations and equations of apparent movement , Navier Stokes equations and integral transform i.e., The Laplace transform are d

General solutions of casson fluid past a vertical plate for different motions
(University of Management and Technology, 2015) Allia Naseem
In this thesis, we consider the flow behaviour of Casson fluid under different circumstances. Firstly, some basic definitions and concepts regarding the fundamentals of fluid motion and methods to solve the flow problems have been discussed. In Chapter 2, the free convection flow of Casson fluid past an upright plate subject to the time dependent velocity f(t) with constant wall temperature has been investigated. The vertical plate is set in motion with a time dependent velocity f(t) at time t = 0+. And so the motion will be produced in the fluid. Exact solutions are obtained through the Laplace Transform method. The solutions corresponding to Newtonian fluid for → ∞ is obtained as a limiting case. Also we have discussed some consequences of various parameters like Casson parameter, Grash¨of and Prandtl numbers on velocity and temperature and presented them graphically

Propose steam turbine as alternative to reduce breakdowns
(University of Management and Technology, 2014) Aqsa Majid; Ahsan Razzak; Hussain Ahmad
This paper will present a project of electric energy generation by utilizing steam produce in paper making process by Implementation of a steam turbine of 1500 kW using, rise husk or coal. Nowadays, the energy supply in the maqsoodfasial board paper mill is based on a dieselgenerators and WAPDA.Although the steam turbine system, which will be used in this project is expensive but it will overcome their problem of breakdown. With thisProject, it is expected that company get interested in develop its own electricity to confirm the economical viabilityof the project, as well as the cost reduction and the efficient gains. Main problem is a breakdown occurs due to short fall of electricity. Machinery has to be start four to five times in 24 hours. They were at the end of electricity feeder and there is lot of voltage fluctuation .Due to breakdown they are not able to maintain the efficiency of dryer section as required. Using diesel generators per roll cost is increasing against their profit on per roll. This problem is selected because they are facing significance profit loss. Due to breakdown they face 5% loss of the paper cost at the starting of each roll.Significance of this problem is that there is a big risk element due to sudden break downs.Because they are at high temperature and sudden downfall causes temperature variation in drying section which affect the efficiency of drying and pressing section. After observing there process we try to find out solution. We introduce technology for this problem is that a steam turbine is used for power generation to utilize the steam and makes its power own. Back pressure steam turbine is used for this purpose and high pressure water tube boiler use with it. The steam uses in turbine is that which is basically use for drying section and for cooking pulp. When steam passes through the back pressure steam turbine its pressure and temperature drops which is enough to dry the paper. High pressure water tube boiler is type of boiler in which water circulates in tubes heated externally by the fire. Fuel is burned inside the furnace, creating hot gas which heats water in the steam-generating tubes.
