Public transportation is vital for sustainable urban development and improving quality of life in rapidly growing cities like Lahore. The research highlights that affordability is crucial for accessibility, bridging socioeconomic gaps and encouraging usage among low-income populations. Environmental benefits are emphasized, noting public transport's role in reducing emissions and improving air quality. The study also explores how public transportation alleviates traffic congestion, enhancing urban mobility and reducing travel times. Data were collected through surveys and analyzed using regression and ANOVA methods, revealing significant relationships between independent variables (low cost, less pollution, less traffic congestion) and public transportation usage. The findings suggest targeted policy measures to enhance public transport systems, emphasizing affordability, environmental sustainability, and congestion management to promote widespread usage and realize the benefits of efficient public transportation in Lahore.
