The study focused on instructional leadership styles in school. The purpose of the study was to describe the role of instructional leadership in quality teaching and learning and school improvement, to further investigate whether there is an impact of instructional leadership style on quality teaching and learning and school improvement. The study was quantitative and descriptive in nature therefore a questionnaire was used to get data from teachers. The population size was 497, 100 schools (20% of population) were selected as sample through stratified proportional random sampling technique. It consisted of 50 males and 50 female's school with a total 497 schools. The study found that high result achiever schools used more instructional leadership style in their organization. Leaders tend to focus instructional leadership in schools by setting directions, by making the organization work and by developing people. The study concluded that there was relationship between principal's instructional leadership style and quality teaching and learning, instructional leadership style and school improvement.
