Khair Ali Qureshi2025-11-252025-11-252001https://escholar.umt.edu.pk/handle/123456789/12869The primary purpose of the study was to determine the characteristics of an effective teacher of Sub-Tehsil Renala Khurd Distt, Okara. Seven hypotheses were formulated for the study. All the hypotheses were related to demographic variables of types, sex, age marital status, experience, status of school and qualification (professional and academic). Item by item analysis of the questionnaire was focused on the twenty dimensions of an effective teacher's concept has been tested. Total sample size consisted of 207 where as 34 teachers were drawn as a cluster sampling. A questionnaire of 20 items was used as a research instrument. Two null hypothesis were accepted where as five were rejected. It was concluded that there was no significant difference in the views of secondary school teachers of Sub-Tehsil Renala Khurd Distt., Okara about effective teachers. In the item analysis it was found that 1.Most of the teachers like interaction with the students for the motivation. 2.Most of the teachers do not use A/V aid to make learning process effective. 3. Most of the teachers have full command on their subjects. 4. Most of the teachers are satisfied with their profession. 5. Most of the teachers check daily homework regularly. 6. Most of the teachers admit their weaknesses.
