This study combines the both percentage of number of stories from shelter and also personal stories to understand everything. Few researches tell us why shelters are important for the short term safety, survivors not only get mental health facilities but also also get legal assistance, housing and a job. This thesis help us, how we can make the shelter more effective. And shelters play very important role in providing safety and support to the domestic violence survivors, and sometimes provide long-term services. Survivors while living in a shelter faces very hard time getting help (legal help, mental health care, and employment There are several ways to make shelter more effective which includes: • Providing more services to help overcome their trauma. • Working with different local organizations and build a strong connection. • Suggestions: • Improvement in taking better care of the case. • Providing more services like therapy and one to one counselling • Help the survivors to get financially stable. vii This research goal is to make shelter and the support system better for the victims of domestic violence by figuring out the problems and recommending their solution.enThesis
