This research has a major focus on the current conditions of the historical street bazar of Gwadar. The aims and objectives of the study are to conserve Shahi Bazar of Gwadar and to promote tourism sector in the area. This research identifies the issues which are continuously declining the historical fabric of the street bazar in Gwadar and their economic development as their economic growth of these bazar are being reasonably low compared to what they were before. The physical condition is also not up to mark and are not being maintained since built. Numerous of physical barriers are also affecting this and the cultural identity. This research also identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the street bazar and an analysis to encourage the restoration of these street bazars. The study further more identifies that 67% of the community is not aware what are heritage buildings and the importance of the heritage buildings in the area. The study shows that 85% of the people are strongly willing to conserve the heritage sites in the area. For the conservation and preservation of heritage sites and to promote tourism sector in area the involvement of the local community must be assured to run the mechanism perfectly and involvement of the concerning authorities must be assured for the timely maintenance of the bazar.enThesis
