It has negative consequences for the health sector as well (Petrie et al., 2021). The correlational research design was used to assess the relationship between workplace mobbing, core self-evaluation, coping strategies and employee cynicism in doctors. Through purposive sampling, 315 (Men=169, Women=146) doctors with an age range of 25 to 35 years were contacted from different areas of Punjab, Pakistan. Luxembourg Workplace Mobbing Scale (Steffgen, 2017), Core Self-Evaluation Scale (Judge et al., 2003), Brief Cope Inventory (Carver, 2000) and Employee Cynicism Scale (Abubakar, 2018) were used. Pearson Product Moment correlation, moderation, independent sample t-test analyses were applied. The results showed a strong positive correlation between employee cynicism and workplace mobbing. While significant negative relationship was found between workplace mobbing and core self evaluation. Both emotion-focused coping and problem-focused coping had significant negative relationship with workplace mobbing and employee cynicism respectively. While avoidant coping had positive relationship with workplace mobbing and employee cynicism and negative significant relationship with core self-evaluation, problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping. Core self-evaluation, problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping and avoidant coping significantly moderated the relationship between workplace mobbing and employee cynicism. No gender differences were seen in core self-evaluation, emotion-focused coping, avoidant coping and employee cynicism. Workplace mobbing and problem-focused coping had significant gender differences. At management level, therapists and medical advisors can help doctors to minimize the negative effects of mobbing.
