The study explored the teacher’s role in curriculum development and how they can fulfill the gap between theory and practice. Apart from curriculum development, the study also highlights the teachers’ issues related to curriculum implementation. In addition, this study aimed to find out the process of curriculum development in Pakistan and get suggestions from the respondents through structured questions. The study finds out the reasons of most frequently stated issues of implementation from the teachers’ perspectives. In the present study quantitative data was collected. The quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire from 120 primary school teachers teaching in different private schools in Lahore. The results showed that teachers should be part of curriculum development. Although teachers are playing passive role in curriculum development in Pakistan but their active participation can bring positive change in curriculum development. The study concluded that teachers admitted that use of resources and other related materials always play vital role in curriculum implementation. Finally, the study concluded that teachers involvement in curriculum development always bring innovation and diversity.
