The basic premise of the study was to understand the outcomes of the collaborative methodological programs and highlight related perspectives of students. Examining the underlying mechanism of collaborative learning at its best requires gathering opinions and experiences of those who are part of the process. Indigenous researches are scarce in this area and therefore an exploratory research is required. Future researches might incorporate mix method approach for better generalization. Thematic analysis has been the first choice to understand the context before understanding individual experiences via IPA. In the modern world, literacy is of foremost importance towards progression of a country. The study was designed in indigenous context to analyze the underlying interacting and comorbid factors that can change the impact of collaborative learning process primarily in higher education. The targeted population for the study was student’s enrolled in a bachelor’s program in HEC recognized university. The data analysis yielded seven themes including perception of students, experiences, prerequisites, strategic framework, critical evaluation, and feedback. The study concluded that the student’s understood the importance of group work and its implications in future practical life. Group formulation and dimensions were emphasized along with a vital role of instructor’s transparency. The students have mixed experiences and based on that preferences and opinions related to group work were developed. The students having bad experiences also promoted group work collaborations, understanding its efficacy whilst the potential concerns. It was concluded that a new prospect emerged in collaborative programs is an inclination towards leadership styles. The critical evaluation suggested the role of instructor in the entire process, and it has a broad horizon.enOutcomes of collaboration through teamwork during courseworkPerspectives of students in higher educationThesis
