Weight bias is a term that describes widespread unfavorable weight-related attitudes or beliefs that manifest as stereotypes, prejudice, or outright discrimination against over-weight and obese individuals. Level of physical activity is linked with obesity and weight bias stigmatization. We collected data from 150 over-weight and obese young adults (mean age 22.1 years; 60 men and 90 women) and their mean BMI was 29.40. Data was collected from the students of University of Management and Technology by using weight bias internalization scale by Durso & Latner (2008) to assess overweight and obese people's internalized weight bias and to find out how much a responder believes stereotypes regarding overweight and obese people are applicable to him/ her. International Physical Activity Questionnaire by Macfarlane at al., (2007) was used to measure and evaluate the physical activities and sitting time that people engage in on a daily basis, with the goal of estimating total physical activity in min/days and sitting time. This study found that height was significantly and positively correlated with weight. It means that there is the positive relationship between obesity and demographical variables like height and weight while the rest of the demographic variable i.e. age was found to be non significantly correlated with obesity. It was also found that weight bias stigmatization was significantly and negatively correlated with levels of physical activity.
